Judge Leon T. Roché II

On the Bench

A record built one case at a time.

Judge Leon T. Roché II won election outright in October 2023 to Orleans Parish Criminal District Court. He took the oath of office days later, and he's been serving our community with the dedication and fairness he promised ever since.

He defends constitutional rights, honors victims and their families, and seeks alternatives to incarceration for those struggling with mental illness, addiction, or veteran status, all while holding accountable those who commit acts of violence.

His Commitment to New Orleans

"The children of New Orleans are watching what Judge Roché does."

Every decision Judge Roché makes on the bench sends a message to the next generation of New Orleanians: what justice looks like, what fairness feels like, and whether this city keeps its promise to them. He's asking for another term because that work isn't finished.
